Welcome to Let’s Eat Healthy Nutrition Lessons, an educational video series that elevates healthy eating. Each lesson is accompanied by an assignment in the student workbook with a corresponding video available to guide students through assignments. Help students navigate basic hygiene, safety, and fitness skills in this engaging health curriculum! Units focus on one or two main health concepts that are developed at each grade level; parents may teach them in any order.
Students will identify choices and behaviors that support a substance-free lifestyle. In this lesson, students learn ways to prevent and avoid fighting. They examine 3 key ways to avoid or respond to fights, including not acting on impulse and getting help if a conflict escalates toward violence. They read a story about a conflict between friends and analyze how the 3 ways could have helped the characters avoid or respond to the situation. Then they work in small groups to explore how they could apply the strategies for avoiding and responding fights in their own lives. The teacher reinforces walking away from a fight as the strong and safe thing to do.

In this unit, students will explain the six major body systems and explain how they work and function together. They will also compare physical, emotional, and academic differences they have and how to make healthy choices when helping others with the changes in their bodies. This unit does NOT cover the function of the reproductive system for males and females. Teaches students how to advocate for the mental and emotional health of self and others. Students will learn and adopt behaviors which will also maintain and enhance physical and social health.
